The rapidly changing circumstances around the spread and containment efforts of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) mean the best sources of information for early learning services are the regularly updated bulletins coming from government sources.

The Ministry of Health has developed a collection of resources for the general public, health professionals and industry about coronavirus (COVID-19), including translated resources.

The Ministry of Education has a dedicated COVID-19 tab on the top of its website which includes all the latest information and advice for whānau and the education centre. Scroll down the landing page to access tailored information for educators and the early learning sector.

For information and guidance on your role as an employer visit the dedicated COVID-19 page on the Employment New Zealand website where you can learn more about your responsibilities as an employer and your rights as an employee.

For information on the global situation visit the World Health Organisation website.

The Ministry of Education has provided guidance for parents, caregivers, whānau and teachers on talking to children about the virus which you can read here. UNICEF has also released some guidance for talking to children for educators, which you can access here.
