BestStart Omokoroa is located on the Omokoroa Peninsula, we’re surrounded by Mount Maunganui and Matakana Island, and have the views of the Kaimai Ranges We are part of a fast growing community known by the philosophy ‘Live, Work and Play’.

Your child’s individual learning and development will be supported at every age and stage in our well thought out environments. Piwakawaka / Tauhou for those 3 months to 2 years, Kotare Room from 2 -3 years old, Tui Room for 3-4 year olds and finally the Kuaka Room from  4 years old until they are ready to move onto school. Each room has it’s own beautiful, natural outdoor environment for your child to explore while they build their physical skills. 

We believe that children learn best through meaningful play experiences, either child initiated or teacher led and our curriculum is based on this. We value the individual culture and identity of your child and view this as an integral part of their learning and development. The role of our teachers is to teach from the heart with kindness and respect, supporting the values and diverse needs of our families

Our Be School Ready initiative encourages your child to use their developing self-help skills and provides a range of opportunities to extend their independence. This is incorporated into everyday activities, to support each step of their learning journey. 

Your child’s learning journey and milestones are captured and shared through one-on-one communication and our online learning portfolios on Story Park.  This is a great way to keep up to date with what your child is doing with us here at the centre.  You can log in to see what’s been happening in their day, check out photos of their learning and comment on their activities.
