BestStart Papakura childcare centre is Papakura’s hidden gem, we’re nestled away in a quiet residential street away from hustle and bustle. We’ve been open since 2015 and are continuing to make a huge educational difference to the lives of children in our community. We pride ourselves on our teaching team as well as our 3 educational environments

The Kahurangi Room (Infants 3 months – 2 years) is focused on giving our youngest the very best start to their education journey. Our infant’s environment is open plan and offers an extensive variety of different learning materials to keep their minds busy and to support their growing learning. Our teaching team have a huge focus on building strong relationships with our tamariki and whanau to support the individual routines and learning needs to ensure that not only are we providing the best possible care and education but that this is fostered on trust and a joint partnership between home and centre.

Our Pounamu Room (Toddlers 2 years to 3-3.5 years) provides a bright and exciting open plan room which supports, encourages and guides our most curious age group. The focus in the Pounamu room is to continue building our strong relationships with whanau and to provide our toddler tamariki with support and a growing understanding of how their world works alongside working with others. We plan, support and educate our curious group through an individual focus to allow children to grow and learn at their own pace.

Our Kawakawa Room (PreSchool 3 years to 5 years) is our final stage of the journey at BestStart Papakura. This large open plan space fosters and sets the scene for inclusive, supportive and interactive environments allowing our children to end their Pre school learning years with us in a fun, exciting and educational way. This sets them up with the best skills to succeed and thrive within their next learning journey.
